Hello everyone! My name is Holley Burford, and I am so excited to be the STEAM teacher at Lincoln Elementary School this year! This is my 16th year in education and my first year in the STEAM lab. After spending the last 15 years in the classroom, I am thrilled to bring my passion for creative, hands-on learning to this new role and to have the opportunity to work with all of our amazing Lincoln students!
One of the things I am most excited about this year is getting to work alongside both students and teachers. I look forward to collaborating with our teachers, supporting classroom learning, and finding ways to connect STEAM experiences to the content students are learning throughout the year. My goal is to create meaningful opportunities for students to be curious, creative, collaborate, solve problems, and see themselves as innovators—all while having a lot of fun along the way!
I am a graduate of UAB and JSU, and I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Zack, for a little over 14 years. We have three children, Annalise, Daniel, and Josie. Our family is very active in our church, Eastaboga Baptist, and we love spending time together and with our extended family.
I am so excited about this new adventure and all that we will create together in the STEAM lab this year. I can't wait to learn, create, explore, and grow alongside our students and teachers. I know we are going to have a wonderful year!
