Library Media Specialist

I have been the Library Media Specialist at Lincoln Elementary School for 5 years. Before holding this position at L.E.S., I taught kindergarten, 1st, and 6th grade.This is currently my 22nd year at LES. Working in the library has been a dream of mine for SEVERAL years. My dream has now become a reality.  I absolutely love love love working in the library where I see children of all grades and ages and I have the opportunity to foster a love of READING!  

As the Media Specialist, I am also an advocate for the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) Initiative on the school and district levels.  We have a full functioning Makerspace Lab that is available  to all students. I also conduct Story Laboratory, where I teach students in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math and collaborate with teachers to plan rigorous and engaging lessons to implement in their classrooms.  It is my goal to provide opportunities for all students to participate in endeavors where they can be creative, take risks without the fear of failure, and become independent thinkers.
