I am married to William L. Huffaker III. He and his family own and operate Stemley Station Restaurant. We are blessed with two sons. My oldest son, Billy, is 22 and is employed with Diversified . He is married to Catherine Huffaker, a precious young lady that we love dearly. Collin, my youngest son, is about to be 16 years old. He will be in 11th grade at Lincoln High School. My family enjoys spending time together. I also enjoy singing at church. I have worked in the music ministry at Trinity Lighthouse Church of God for more than ten years. There's one thing about me that usually surprises people. My birthday is on Christmas day.
Teaching and learning are very important to me. I have had many opportunities to grow as an educator and professional including the Instructional Partners Project, the National Board certification process and recertification process, and the training provided by the Alabama Reading Initiative(ARI) just to name a few. As an Instructional Partner, I plan and work collaboratively with Dr. Hudson, teachers, and many others to help increase learning for every child. I believe that all children can learn and achieve success. As educators, we desire to empower students with the skills necessary to be successful at school, work, and in life. It's my goal to work as a team with others in accomplishing this goal for the students at Lincoln Elementary.
